Meeting Jesus again for the first time

Whenever I think about the New Testament, the person that I always think of foremost is Jesus Christ? Why not, right? After all, the New Testament holds the account of his earthly ministry. My previous studies of the New Testament led me to the sure knowledge that God does love everyone of his children and it confirms that there is always hope for those who have gone astray in this life.

I am taking a New Testament class again, and before the classes even started, I received an e-mail from my professor saying some things that we were to do during the semester. By the end of his message, he said, "I think you will find our semester to be full of surprises as we meet Jesus again for the first time!" Truth be told, I was not intending to be surprised because I felt that there's not really much surprise in the New Testament.

True, there are a lot of good messages in the New Testament, but I thought I knew everything and that this class would be some sort of refresher of what I know. Turns out, I was totally wrong. Even from the first day of class, I have been learning more and more. I won't give any specific insights right now, but for my next posts, I definitely will.

I could not believe that I thought I knew everything! So there's a lesson for me: My professor was right, I am finding this semester full of surprises as I meet Jesus again for the first time!
